The problem we solve
The internet is being reshaped by large-scale applications and AI agents. A decade ago a company might have called search-engine APIs hundreds of thousands of times a month; today a single AI training pipeline can burn through billions of page requests in a day. That order-of-magnitude shift broke the old 'engineer writes a scraper' model — anti-bot walls, geo-blocks, fraud detection, dynamic JS rendering, and TLS-fingerprint checks make 'seeing the real web' harder every quarter.

Behind us sits a vast peer network, a compliance program, and an abuse-mitigation system; in front of you sits an interface so simple it borders on boring.

Our story
In 2022, a small group of network-infrastructure engineers noticed a pattern: more and more companies were using proxies, but the supply side was a compliance black box — peers were not opting in, customers were not verified, and many vendors preferred the legal grey zone over investing in a real product.
'If proxy infrastructure were operated like Stripe or AWS — by a company with real compliance discipline — wouldn't there be a much bigger market?' That question gave us Helodata. We took our time before shipping our first peer SDK because we required that the SDK only run with explicit informed consent, only use idle bandwidth, and offer one-tap opt-out.
We are self-funded. No external capital, no runway anxiety. We grow on real customer revenue, which keeps us honest about what works.
Milestones
- 2022 — Founded; registered in Singapore (Helodata Pte. Ltd.); self-funded operations begin.
- 2022 — SDK v1 ships; first residential pool live with explicit-consent peer onboarding.
- 2023 — API gateway online; KYC pipeline introduced; product line expanded to ISP / Unlimited / Mobile / Datacenter.
- 2024 — Residential pool scales out; APAC, North America, and Europe operations established.
- 2025 — AI Agent gateway launched; native integrations with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and MCP.
- In progress — Operating to SOC 2 / ISO 27001 framework controls; preparing for first third-party audit.

Vision: when people look back at the 2020s they will see proxy infrastructure as a foundational utility on the same level as cloud compute and CDN. Helodata wants to be the most trusted vendor in that layer.

Social responsibility
1% of net profit goes annually to digital-rights organizations: EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation), the Tor Project, and the Internet Archive.
We publicly commit to refuse service to any customer whose intent is to surveil journalists, human-rights workers, or activist lawyers — regardless of payment capability. Our KYC process includes a dedicated screen for this kind of use.
Each employee gets 5 paid volunteer days per year. We sponsor the OpenJS Foundation, CNCF, and the IEEE Internet Standards Project.
